Sunday Day Trip

It was a gorgeous day out yesterday reaching 28C, and even though we were sick with a cold, and still numerous things to do with moving of the apartments. We decided this beautiful weather could not go to waste!
We drove to The Moritzburg Castle which is about 20 mins from here, so not far at all. The kids had a great time walking around (well except Rebekah!) the castle and seeing inside. It was built in the early 18th century for August the Strong as a hunting palace! Some hunting place I tell you!! We toured inside as well, but no pictures were allowed. At the end of the day to Meghan’s delight, we took a horse carriage ride around the castle grounds.

  1. Looks like a great day and interesting place.Horse carriage rides are fun. Glad you could see the inside- maybe we’ll get there if we come again. Sure could use some of that sunshine here too. Finally got a pic of Rebekah in black!

  2. The castle looks amazing! I think Jane and I would love to go and see it.
